Restoring All Things: God’s Audacious Plan to Change the World Through Everyday People by Warren Cole Smith and John Stonestreet provides insight into how the Lord has been moving through people to impact the world around them.
The authors layout examples of people who have impacted their world in big ways and in major organizations – something that can be either inspiring or daunting for the reader. Yet the authors also take the time to present stories of people impacting those around them in meaningful ways that are more your “everyday” person – something that is both inspiring and reachable for the reader.
One of the best lines from the book is, “It simply is not true that a person’s calling is more sacred on the basis of where they work. To be Christian is to be called to God’s redeeming work in the world. And anyone who is in Christ can and should seek to glorify God wherever they are” (p 201).
